My relationship with my submissive is like a coloring book: she draws the lines, she decides how she wants the picture to look. Within those lines, I can do anything I want. If I want purple skies and red grass, that’s my prerogative. But I always, ALWAYS have to respect those lines.
This has always been one of my favorite ways to think of D/s relationships.
However, I like the idea that the picture changes over time. While I may never break the lines, I may encourage her to shift the lines in different directions to expand or change the picture as she pleases.
